We’re in the home stretch to the inaugural World Beach Ultimate Club Championships (WBUCC) 2024! On October 14 at 9:30 AM (GMT+1), the Opening Ceremony will mark the beginning of an unforgettable showcase of world-class ultimate frisbee talent. Hosted on the breathtaking shores of Portimão, Portugal, this tournament will bring together the best beach ultimate teams from across the globe.

Format and Divisions

WBUCC 2024 will feature a solid competition format, with matches scheduled daily from 8:30 AM until 6:35 PM (GMT+1). The event will run through October 19, offering fans and players alike, six days of sun, Beach Ultimate, and incredible displays of athleticism and teamwork. Competing in WBUCC will be a total of 118 teams, divided into three divisions:

• Open Division: 39 teams
• Mixed Division: 54 teams
• Women’s Division: 25 teams

Teams will compete following a pool play format during the initial phase of the competition. Based on their pool play performance, teams will qualify for power pools, quarterfinals, semifinals, and ultimately, the championship final.

With so many elite teams toughing it out for the crown of Champion, expect nothing short of intense matches and high-flying layouts.

Fields of Play and Streaming

The tournament will take place across a staggering 20 fields. Among these, the Ulti.TV Arena will be our showcase stage, where key matches will be streamed LIVE and for FREE for fans around the world to enjoy. Opening Day Highlights

We’ll be kicking off the tournament with a must-watch game in the Mixed division between Portugal’s own, UFA (POR) vs. AKS Zły (POL) at 10:30 AM (GMT+1). Not long after, Tequila Elite (ITA) will be set to face off against Canada’s Chilly! in the Women’s division at 1:20 PM (GMT+1). Throughout the days to come, teams from all over the world will take to the beaches, vying for an early edge in WBUCC 2024.
